The multilayer piezoceramic delivers an outstanding fast and precise displacement, ideal for creating sharp and crisp active haptics.
The stainless-steel bows (or cymbals) on both sides of the actuator work as displacement amplifiers.
Its high frequency bandwidth enables endless vibrotactile and surface effects by adjusting the frequency, the signal, and the amplitude.
PowerHap can also work as a sensor: When applying pressure on the bows an electric charge is generated. This optimizes the system cost as no additional force sensing is required.
